Radhavallabhi Poori Ingredients

  • Atta 1cup
  • Maida 1 cup.
  • Mix the flour in to a soft dough adding one table spoon oil, half teaspoon salt and enough water. Keep it aside for half an hour. In the mean time we can make the stuffing.

  • Heat the pan.
  • Put one teaspoon cumin seed.
  • One teaspoon fennel seed.
  • One small piece nutmeg.
  • Heat it till it is light brown. Then put two dry red chillies. Heat it till the masala changes its colour. Then cool it and powder it in a mixer.
  • Take 1/4 cup soaked urad dal. Mash it coarsely.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a pan.
  • Put half pinch asafoetida then put the coarsely mashed urad dal. Add half teaspoon sugar into it. Add salt to taste. Add the powdered masala. Mix it properly over the stove itself. Make it into a thick mixture.

Now mix the dough again with half spoon oil. Divide the dough into equal balls. RadhaVallabhiPoori should be 4 to 5 inches big.
Keep oil on the stove for frying the poories. Now flatten the balls into small saucer shapes with a depression in the middle. Put the stuffing inside the flattened balls. Make it into balls again without any cracks. Then flatten it into medium sized poories. Should be careful that there are no cracks on the poories and the stuffing should not come out. RadhaVallabhaiPoories are medium thick. Fry the poories in the oil till the poories are golden brown on both sides. Hot RADHA VALLABHIPOORIes are ready to be served.
